The French Fries Chair is a sculpted seating piece built as a carton of fries. The bright red carton forms the body with a yellow curved trim across the front, angled yellow fries rise behind the seat at varying heights to form the backrest, and rounded red arms sit either side of a cream cushioned seat. The whole piece stands on a flat black plinth.
The uneven height of the fries is what stops this reading as a flat cut-out. They break the outline at the top, so the chair keeps a distinctive profile from any angle and looks convincing rather than diagrammatic.
