Description
The Donut Chair is a sculpted seating piece formed from a ring donut standing on its edge. Pink icing runs across the upper curve with raised sprinkles in blue, yellow and white, the golden dough body curves forward into sculpted arms either side, and a cushioned seat pad sits in the base of the ring.
The open centre is the detail worth planning around. It frames whoever sits in the chair when photographed from the front, and it lets light and background through, so the piece stays visually light despite its bulk.
It suits bakeries, coffee shops, dessert cafés, food courts, sweet shops and family entertainment venues. A pair placed either side of an entrance works particularly well, since the shape is recognisable from a distance and tells passers-by what the venue sells before they read the sign.
