Description
The Friendly Robot Statue is a freestanding character sculpture finished in glossy white and silver with blue trim. A wide dark screen forms the face with two rounded blue eye panels set into it, slim antennae rise either side of the head, and a hexagonal emblem sits at the centre of the chest above articulated silver joints. One hand is raised in a wave, the other gives a thumbs up.
Screen-faced robots read as approachable in a way that mechanical faces do not, and the two open gestures reinforce it. The result is a figure that reads as helpful rather than industrial, which is what makes it work in venues where children are the main audience.
It suits science centres, technology museums, arcades, robotics and STEM exhibitions, children’s play venues, electronics retail and corporate receptions. Standing at an entrance or beside an information point it works as a landmark and an obvious photo stop.
Shell colours, trim tone and the chest emblem can be adapted to match venue or corporate branding, and the figure can be produced as part of a wider character set.
Produced as a decorative 3D-printed sculpture with a hand-finished paint surface.
