Description
The Popcorn Bucket Chair is a sculpted armchair built as a striped popcorn carton. Classic red and cream vertical stripes run around the body, individually sculpted popcorn pieces form the backrest and spill over the tops of the arms, and a cream cushioned seat and back panel sit inside the carton. The piece stands on a round dark plinth.
The overflowing popcorn breaks the outline at the top and sides, which is what stops the chair reading as a plain striped box. It also gives the piece a generous, abundant look that suits the venues it is made for.
